Indeed, your Lord is Allah

The First Khutba Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. We bear witness that there is no deity but Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth, the Manifest, and we bear witness that our master and prophet Muhammad is His servant and trustworthy messenger. May Allah’s peace, blessings, and mercy be upon him, his family, and all his companions, and upon those who follow them in righteousness until the Day of Judgment. To proceed: I advise you, O servants of Allah, and myself, to have taqwa of Allah, as Allah, the Exalted, has said: “O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous.” O Believers, Indeed, Allah, the Almighty, is our Lord, our Creator, our Provider, and the One who manages our affairs and matters. He has made Himself known to us through the abundance of His blessings, the overflow of His generosity, the vastness of His mercy, the perfection of His power, and the greatness of His creation. He, the Exalted, says: “Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne, arranging the matter [of His creation].” He manages the affairs of creation, nurtures and rectifies them, and provides for them with perfect care until they reach the pinnacle of their completion. Have you not heard the story of the Prophet of Allah, Musa (Moses), peace be upon him, when he said: “Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided it.” (Surah Taha: 50) Reflect on the creations of your Lord around you—how He, Glorified be He, has guided them to what benefits them and ensures their sustenance and stability. “And in yourselves. Then will you not see?” Indeed, He created you in stages within the wombs “He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, within three darknesses. That is Allah, your Lord.” (Az-Zumar: 6) Glory be to You, our Lord! You are the One who provided for the fetuses in the wombs, cared for them with grace and blessings, and then brought them into the world surrounded by kindness and honor, in the finest form and the most complete creation. And You said, our Lord, and Your word is the truth: “And He formed you and perfected your forms and provided you with good things. That is Allah, your Lord; so blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds.”( Ghafir: 64) So, let us reflect on the immense power and mercy of our Lord, and contemplate His hidden grace and wisdom. So that we affirm His oneness: “Say, ‘Shall I seek a lord other than Allah, while He is the Lord of all things?" (Al-An’am: 164) And worship Him as He deserves to be worshipped: “That is Allah, your Lord, so worship Him. Then will you not remember?” (Surah Yunus: 3) O Servants of Allah, “Indeed, your Lord is Kind and Merciful” (An-Nahl: 7). He is Generous and Noble; His hand is full of goodness and extended with giving. The Prophet ﷺ said: “The Hand of Allah is full, and spending does not diminish it. It continuously bestows, night and day.” This means His giving is perpetual. Glory be to Him! His generosity is perfect and unceasing; His bounties follow one after another. With Him are the treasures of all things, and nothing is independent of His favor. Nothing escapes His knowledge or control. He protects us night and day from all harm: “Say, ‘Who can protect you at night or by day from the Most Merciful?’” (Al-Anbiya: 42). There is no Lord besides Him and no Protector other than Him. He never neglects His care for you: “He does not sleep, and it is not befitting for Him to sleep.” “That is Allah, your Lord; there is no deity except Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. And He is Disposer of all things.” (Al-An’am: 102). O believers: Indeed, your Lord is Allah who created you to worship Him and made clear to you His intention in His law. These are His signs before you, (insights from your Lord and guidance and mercy for a people who believe). And He has made your religion easy for you, and removed hardship from you, {And He has not placed upon you in religion any hardship} out of compassion for you, and as an alleviation from Him for you, {That is an alleviation from your Lord and a mercy}, and He, glory be to Him, has opened the door of hope in His mercy before you, and to seek His forgiveness and His Paradise, He has called you, so He said, addressing His speech to you: (And hasten to Forgiveness from your Lord and a Paradise as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous). O Allah, guide us to remember You, thank You, and worship You in the best way. Help us act according to Your command: I say this, and I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord. So seek His forgiveness and then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive. (Hud: 61). The Second Sermon All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the earth and the heavens, Glorified and Exalted, the One who answers prayers. Blessings and peace be upon our master and prophet, Muhammad, the best of creation, and upon his family and companions, the possessors of virtues and noble qualities. O servants of Allah, among the requirements of our faith in our Lord is that we glorify Him in our hearts and express His greatness with our tongues, acting upon the words of our Prophet ﷺ: “As for the bowing, magnify your Lord in it.” (Muslim). So, we repeat in our bowing “(Glory is to my Lord, the Most Great)” and in our prostration “(Glory is to my Lord, the Most High),” following the example of our Prophet ﷺ. And we place our trust in Allah, Glorified and Exalted, just as His Prophets and Messengers placed their trust in Him. For indeed, the Prophet Musa, peace be upon him, said in times of difficulty and hardship: “Indeed, my Lord is with me; He will guide me.” And our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ frequently used to say: I am content with Allah as my Lord. So put your trust in Allah, your Lord, and be content with what He has allotted for you. Raise your needs to Him, for He has promised you that He will respond to you: “And your Lord said, 'Call upon Me; I will respond to you.' Indeed, He, the Most High, is “Shy and Generous. He is shy of His servant raising his hands to Him and returning them empty. Rather, He answers him and grants him what he asked The prophets, peace be upon them, used to begin their supplications by calling upon their Lord with the words: 'Our Lord' or 'O Lord,' and their prayers were answered. So, turn to your Lord, O servant of Allah, and praise Him before making your supplication. He will turn towards you, answer your prayers, and be kind to you. Umm Sulaym, may Allah be pleased with her, said to the Prophet ﷺ: 'Teach me words that I can say in my prayer.' He ﷺ replied: 'Say Allahu Akbar ten times, SubhanAllah ten times, and Alhamdulillah ten times, then ask for whatever you wish. He will say: 'Yes, yes.'' (Tirmidhi) O Allah, our Lord, how merciful You are, and how generous You are! You, the Mighty and the Great, say: 'Yes, yes,' to Your weak and poor servant. How excellent a Lord You are, and how great a God You are. You have preferred us, and Your favor is abundant, You have blessed us, and Your gifts are complete, and You have honored us, and Your generosity overflows. So, increase us from Your great bounty. O Allah, send blessings, peace, and mercy upon our master Muhammad, and upon his family, companions, and followers. Be pleased with Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali, and with all the noble companions. O Allah, make us believers in You, worshippers to You, turning to You in repentance, grateful for Your grace, dutiful to our parents, and have mercy on them as they raised us when we were young, O Most Merciful of the merciful. O Allah, we ask You for the causes of Your mercy, the resolutions of Your forgiveness, the gain from every virtue, safety from every sin, and we ask You for success in attaining Paradise and deliverance from the Fire. (Al-Hakim in Al-Mustadrak) Our Lord, indeed, we have believed, so forgive us our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. Our Lord and grant us what You have promised us through Your messengers and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, you do not fail in the promise. (Al-Imran, 193-194) Our Lord do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower. (Aal-E-Imran, 3:8) O Allah, grant stability, progress, and prosperity to the State of the Emirates. O Allah, continue to bestow good health upon us, bless our provisions, our spouses, and our offspring. O Allah, grant success to the President of the State, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, and his deputies and the rulers of the Emirates, and the Crown Prince, with what pleases You. O Allah, have mercy on Sheikh Zayed, Sheikh Rashid, and the founding leaders, and admit them into the vastness of Your Paradise by Your grace, and include the martyrs of our country in your mercy and forgiveness. O Allah, have mercy on the Muslim men and women, and the believing men and women: the living and the dead. O Allah, send us rain and do not make us among the despairing. O Allah, help us, O Allah, help us, Servants of Allah: Remember Allah, the Great, the Majestic, and He will remember you. And thank Him for His blessings, and He will increase them for you.
