Youths' Chivalry

The First Khutba All praise is due to Allah, the Firm Possessor of Strength, Who made youthhood a period of strength between two periods of weakness; I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah; and I bear witness that our master and Prophet Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. O Allah! Confer Your Peace and Blessings upon him, his family, companions, and upon whoever follows his guidance. To continue: I advise you, O servants of Allah, and myself to have Taqwa of Allah. He the Almighty said: (And fear a Day when you will be returned to Allah.) [1] O believers! Youthhood is one of the most important phases in man’s life. So, the Prophet (may Allah’s Peace and Blessings be upon him) commanded to optimally utilize them, affirming, “Take advantage of five before five” and he listed on the top “Your youth before your old age.” [2] So, take advantage, O youths, of your youthhood in worshiping your Lord, and adhere to the guidance of your religion and “approach it gently” as instructed by the Prophet (may Allah’s Peace and Blessings be upon him), without any extremism or fanaticism, for your Lord intends for (you ease and does not intend for you hardship) [3] and (Allah wants to accept your repentance, but those who follow [their] passions want you to digress [into] a great deviation. And Allah wants to lighten for you [your difficulties]). [4] So, O youths, be your parents’ apple of eye through good treatment and beautiful kindness; appreciate their staying up to care about you and their patience with bringing you up; and act in line with the Saying of your Lord: (And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small.) [5] O youths of the nation! You are the fortune of your country, so are you ready to make the achievements it expects from you? You should be characterized with the values of chivalry , nobility, courteousness, and civility. Make use of any work opportunity and don’t wait for opportunities to knock at your doors; rather, you should make them yourselves to achieve your hopes and form families beneficial for your country, and thus be a landmark in your society. (O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you.) [6] With that said, I ask Allah for forgiveness. The Second Khutba All praise is due to Allah; and blessings and peace be upon Prophet Muhammad after whom there is no other Prophet. O servants of Allah! Youths are the pillars of the homeland . So, O youths, be characterized with strength and wisdom to be the best choice at times of seeking help. ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to summon youths and seek their consultations when an issue arises. [7] Beware of wasting your youth in the addiction of the social media; avoid what might lead you to death, such as recklessness in driving vehicles and heedlessly making offenses; and don’t abandon your grandfathers’ and your fathers’ values upon which you were brought up – these values of righteousness, modesty, shyness, truthfulness, sincerity, tolerance, honesty, perfection, creativity, and the sense of responsibility , for you will be held accountable for your youthhood on the Day of Resurrection. The Prophet (may Allah’s Peace and Blessings be upon him) says: “Man's feet will not move on the Day of Resurrection before he is asked about four” including “his youth and what he wore it out in.” [8] Adopt HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed’s speech about the nation’s youths as a beacon and slogan: “I call them to be present in the different fields of national work, since they are the main driver of the country’s course of development and transformation. I urge them to adhere to the values of our society and to keep its national constants.” With that said, may Allah bless and grant peace to our master and Prophet Sayyiduna Muhammad, his family, and all his companions. And may Allah be pleased with the rightly guided caliphs: Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali, and all the noble companions. O Allah! Keep our youths and make them means of peace for the country, Islam, and Muslims, and mercy and tolerance towards humanity and all worlds. O Allah! Make us believers in You, worshippers to You, dutiful to our parents, and have mercy upon them as they brought us up when we were small, O You Who are the Most Merciful of Merciful. O Allah, maintain safety, stability, progress, and prosperity in the UAE, and shower the world into mercy and peace . O Allah, guide the President of the Nation, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed, his deputies, and his brothers, the rulers of the Emirates, and his faithful crown prince to what You love and are pleased with. O Allah, have mercy on Sheikh Zayed, Sheikh Rashid, and the founding leaders, and admit them, by Your grace, into Your spacious gardens. Bestow Your mercy and forgiveness upon the martyrs. O Allah, have mercy on the Muslims and the believers - both men and women - the living and the deceased. (Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.) [9] Servants of Allah, remember Allah, the Great and Glorious, and He will remember you. Be grateful to Him for His blessings, and He will increase you. And establish the prayer.
